Join the New York Theremin Society!

In case you don't know it yet, the instrument to play today is not the guitar and not the laptop, but the Theremin. It's that weird black box that only makes noises if you dont touch it. Due to the tireless efforts of Dorit Chrysler, we got to hear not only one, but five theremin players: Next to Dorits etheral sounds, Anthony Ptak, Armen Ra, Rob Schwimmer and David Simons gave us a taste of their magic at the Issue Project Room in Brooklyn and everyone who attended was absolutely stunned. Is this the future of music or the perfect combination of smart Jazz, a twist of Rock and the world of classical music? Stay in touch with the New York Theremin Society and also check out Dorit's new MySpace page!

So where were you last night, then? ;) Your Dorit did a smashing job at Losers' Lounge. Glad I finally got to see (and meet) her. She speaks highly of you, of course.

uhoh. had to go to a dinner and then never made it out to the losers lounge. plus, it was 25 bucks and noobody put me on the guest list. i usually just write about shows i get to see for free...

Pffft, my own Mrs. had to pay to get in. ;) Losers' Lounge is kind of like Cavestomp was -- there are so many performers, they really can't make guest-list accommodations. Too bad, but I understand. If each singer got one guest, the place would be almost 1/4 full before they sold any tickets.

But never mind that -- you got Dorit's MySpace URL wrong.

Won't forget that anytime soon. Yes indeed sir, your Catalyst Rank is exemplary. But you must of course take a back seat to Ms. Kennedy. ;)
